Maintenance & servicing
Service it before the heat arrives.
Average maximums climb fast from October. A service in the weeks before summer means dusty filters, tired pads and water levels are sorted before the first hot spell — not during it.
- Evaporative coolers: an annual service is advised by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder
- Refrigerated systems: yearly, or as the manufacturer recommends
- Gas heaters: at least every two years by a licensed gas fitter (Building and Energy WA)
